I have worked for Enginetech since 2003, after 20 years in Ford dealership parts departments. I am a Christian father of four, married to my best friend Joanna (an Enginetech teammate since 2008), enjoy running, messing with my daily driver 1970 Nova I bought in 1980 for my first car, serving at church as a Sunday school teacher to 6th graders and in my audio/visual duties. I also love any home improvement project involving power tools and dust. My favorite part of being on the Sales team at Enginetech is the relationships I have built with all the different personalities that make up our customer base.

I have been in the engine business since 1987. I worked for a Ford remanufacture and Sun Engines from 1989 -1994, and also Power Reman Engines, a small business in Dallas, from 1994-1998. I have been employed at Enginetech since 2001 and have enjoyed working with a lot of great people. I have a beautiful wife and great kids! My oldest child is in college, second oldest is involved in soccer and cheerleading in high school and my youngest is a baseball player… we think! I also coach his team (we have won a couple of tournaments over the years… Its hard work!), play a little softball here and there just to keep in shape!

I was born and raised in Dallas. I attended Northwood University in Cedar Hill, Texas, where I majored in Automotive Aftermarket Management, while excelling in Cross-Country and Track. Prior to Enginetech, I honed my career at Star Automotive, and then to the retail side with Auto Zone and Pep Boys. In my spare time I am an avid soccer player, a dedicated runner, and enjoy spending time with my 4 year old son, Akai, who also plays soccer!

I began my career with Enginetech in 2008 and it has been a very good experience! My favorite part about working for Enginetech is the relationships I have built in a short time span. I attended Lincoln Tech right after high school. During my 4 year training, I worked for AutoZone. I then worked as a mechanic for A Auto Auction for about 1 year. Courted by my brother, Tony Gaona, regarding the great opportunity at Enginetech, I have been here since! Most of my time is spent with my lovely wife and 1 ½ year old baby girl who is a handful and also my life! My other interests are playing soccer, working on my truck, racing and/or watching the races and visiting my family. I have raced since I graduated high school, which is when I purchased my first car…1998 Ford Mustang! Yes, I am a Ford guy, not a Chevy..LOL!! I now own a supercharged truck, much faster than the ‘Stang’! I live life in the fast lane with Enginetech by my side!

I have been married for 39 years to my wife Linda. My son, Matthew is 33 years old. He has a son, my first grandchild, Brady, who is 11 months old! My daughter, Stacy, is 31 years old. I have been in the hard parts industry since 1975. I started my career with John D. Harvey Co. and have been with Enginetech since 1995. As the Market & Development Director, my responsibilities cover the 48 continental states and my travels take me to different parts of the country with different cultures. What I have found is that an automotive machine shop is an automotive machine shop, no matter where it is located!
