Superior design and materials
Enginetech engineers analyzed
the special sealing problems of each engine covered, and designed the
gaskets and seals that would work best in each part of the engine.
Thermal shock dyno testing verified the design excellence. Unlike OE
designs, The Rebuilder's Gasket is designed for and works better on
rebuilt engines.
Individual gaskets are die cut from the right material in the right thickness for each application, and have elastomeric sealing beads in critical areas.
Head gaskets are no-retorque with virtually no loss in clamping force over time, perforated to eliminate material separation and leakage, and are coated with a premium silicone blend to allow head-to-block movement and easy removal. Precise thickness gives predictable sealing, fire rings are oversize (for oversize bores), and elastomeric sealing beads meet special sealing needs.
Valve cover gaskets have the proper thickness for optimum sealing. They seal, are durable, have a long shelf life, and are flexible, to withstand rough handling during installation without breaking. One piece molded rubber gaskets are used in late applications where critical sealing is a must.
Pan gaskets are made in the right thickness to seal best on sheet metal without splitting. Again, they are durable, flexible, and have a long shelf life. Also, one piece rubber molded pan gaskets are available for late model engines.
Intake gaskets are designed to prevent vacuum leaks and withstand high temperatures from exhaust crossover heat on V-type engines. They are embossed or have raised elastomeric beads to give high unit pressure and superior sealing on narrow flanges. In several applications, a heat-sensitive coating provides a positive seal once the engine is run.
Superior packaging
The easy-to-learn part number is highly
visible regardless of which way the gaskets are stocked. A complete,
easy to read bill of materials is on the label. The head gasket(s) can
be easily removed without opening the complete package, therefore the
rebuilder can use the head gaskets and send the balance of the set to
the installer...still sealed. The gaskets are divided into subsets,
thus the smaller, more fragile components are protected from damage or
folding.
Simplified installation instructions are printed on a large poster card with large print and illustrations. The easy to read instructions promote a better quality of workmanship by the installer and prevents costly mistakes.
Superior consolidation
Enginetech engineers spend hours of
research with new and used blocks, to develop gasket and seal sets that
really seal while reducing the number of sets needed for similar
engines. For example, one set covers all 350 Chevrolet engines through
1985, and two sets cover all Buick 231/181 non-turbo engines from 79 to
87.

Enginetech cam bearings are manufactured as a “Full Round” design. Our bearings are produced from extruded steel tubes with a centrifugally cast Babbitt lining. Several different grades of Babbitt are used depending on applications. Engines with inherent OE problems of bearing wiping and/or fatiguing utilize a high grade ASTM-14 material.
In addition to three piece timing sets, Enginetech offers precision matched timing gear sets, complete import timing kits and individual cam gears for certain applications.

Every Enginetech cylinder sleeve is carefully cast using the centrifugal casting method. Centrifugal casting assures that every sleeve is produced with a homogenous material resulting in a high quality product every time.
Enginetech repair sleeves are designed and produced with a semi-finished ID that allows the machinist to remove at least 0.025” of material during the boring and honing process.
Each repair sleeve is chamfered at the bottom OD edge for ease of installation into the engine block.
Enginetech also offers popular High Performance cylinder sleeves. Our HP sleeves are centrifugally cast from a premium formula that yields higher hardness (293 BHN) and higher tensile strength (45000 PSI).
Each Enginetech cylinder sleeve is individually packaged in it’s own protective box and is wrapped in rust preventative paper for improved shelf life.

For about the same cost of reclaiming junk valves you can install brand new Rebuilder’s Valves®. Rebuilders can increase cylinder head sales by marketing their remanufactured heads with “all new premium valves” compared to the competition that still uses “reclaimed junk valves”.

Anti-wear chemistry is required in all engine oils to protect valve train components and other metal surfaces from wearing. Today’s passenger car engine oils do not contain enough ZDDP for proper engine protection during the break-in process.

Enginetech "Time Sert" and "Big Sert" thread repair kits solve the problem one and for all. They utilize solid bushing inserts that are easy to install and will accept and maintain as much or more torque as the original threaded hole. The solid bushing inserts mechanically lock into place to prevent backing out and also provide a leak proof thread repair.
Installation of the Enginetech's solid type bushing is an easy process. In most cases all you have to do is drill out the affected hole, counter bore, tap and install the bushing.
The "timed" thread design of Enginetech's thread repair inserts makes them the thinnest solid bushing on the market and allows them to be installed anywhere a coiled insert can be used.
Many specialty repairs cannot be performed with a coiled wire type of insert. Thread repair of crankshaft "snouts" are risky because of the high torque load and vibration, but Enginetech's solid inserts work every time.
